Why Being A “Cardio Bunny” Won’t Get You The Banging Body You Deserve

Monday, 05 September 2016 01:16
Every day I see the same faces running/dragging their feet along the famous Perth coastal running track or on the treadmill at the gym. They are ‘cardio bunnies’ slogging it out every day, but the thing is each time I see them they look exactly the same. Their bodies have not changed. Everyone may not be running for the reason of changing their physique, or losing fat but I can guarantee that the majority of them are trying to achieve the banging body of their dreams. The thoughts that go through my mind when I see these people are “good on them for trying to make a change in their life, for moving and getting active every day, but I also feel sorry for them as they are putting in so much effort in each day but are sadly getting minimal to no results”. There are a number of problems…

How To Get The Life Of Your Dreams

Monday, 29 August 2016 05:34
Do you go to bed each night feeling positive and content with life or do you go to bed at night feeling negative and stressed? Often we can just go through each day in auto-pilot. Going from one task/meeting/job to the next without any conscious thought. This is often carried into our home life. We get home after work, sit on the couch, turn the TV on or go on Facebook, make dinner, shower, watch more TV or go on Facebook some more on the couch or tucked up in bed. We fall asleep stressed and thinking about all the things we have to get done tomorrow. You can choose to lead that daily robotic life…or you can choose the following…….. You go through your day with ease, conscious, present, appreciating every moment, breathing and taking life in. When you get home you chat to your housemates or partner, go…

6 Lessons We Can Learn From The Olympic Athletes

Monday, 22 August 2016 01:54
As it comes to the end, the most amazing, prestigious 2 weeks of television, where the whole world is watching. The 2 weeks that only come around every 4 years, where we learn about countries we have never heard of, fall in love with athletes and their stories of hardship and see the male and female bodies in peak condition competing for gold.  So what can we learn from our fellow humans who are at the top of their game? 1- Everyone starts as a beginner. Olympians did not come out of the womb with special powers destined to be Olympians.  Yer, ok, they may be genetically gifted with long legs for high jumping, big legs for a cycling or short legs for weightlifting. BUT, they to are human just like you and I. They all started as a beginner and would have had more struggles then all of us,…

A Journey To Intuitive Eating

Monday, 15 August 2016 00:51
‘Intuition’ a thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning. We were all born with the wisdom that we need to eat intuitively but sadly over time humans have lost this ability due to impacts of social media, fad diets, poor or lack of education, advertising, eating disorders and wanting to conform to societies expectations and ideals. It seems simple that we should eat when we are hungry and stop when we are full and eat whole-foods, however, for 90% of the population this is not easy to comprehend or follow.  What is intuitive eating?  As it the name suggests it is when you ‘just know’ what your body should be eating without overthinking or analysing your food. You are the expert of your own body. You respond to your inner body cues. This may sound simple, however, it is actually a complex process…

When was the last time you sat down and thought about the achievements in your life? What about your achievements each day? Week? Month? or year? This is a fast paced world, we hardly have time to see people outside of the social media world, let alone think about the past, congratulate ourselves on the things we have achieved and the people we have become.  This is your chance….. You Are NOT A Number

Monday, 01 August 2016 00:50
Throughout life we have been conditioned to value our self worth and limitations from a number. Whether it be your age, clothing size, weight on the scales, BMI, inBody scans etc Numbers are a mathematical object used to count, measure and label. The sad thing is society has placed so much importance on these that we have learnt to label ourselves according to our numbers. But guess what? That number is not who you are!!!! Who you are is your mind and soul. Have you ever told yourself you can't do something because of your age? You’re too young? You're too old? That's bullshit. Have you ever thought to yourself you aren't good enough because of your body fat percentage reading? That's bullshit. Have you ever thought you can't wear something or go somewhere because of your clothing size? That's bullshit. Have you every cried and felt worthless because of…

Monday, 25 July 2016 01:17
Enough is enough you think as you make the decision to change your life. Sick of the way you are feeling in your clothes, lacking confidence and feeling lethargic way to often.  You are ready to start creating better habits, joining a gym, making your lunch each day and cutting back the alcohol.  Friends, family and work colleagues commend you for taking action and are super supportive of your new life style…. apart from one…..  There always seems to be that one person who’s trying to bring you down, testing you, peer pressuring you to do something thats not aligned with your goals.  Thank about these social situations…. Out for dinner….. you ask for dressing on the side… That Person- “why cant you just stick to the menu, your being so annoying”. Friends birthday… you stick to soda water an pass on the cocktails… That Person- “its my birthday, you…

Get Bikini Body Ready Now!!!

Monday, 11 July 2016 00:22
So you have your winter get away booked, its coming around super fast but your “bikini body” seems to be taking its sweet time. DONT WORRY….. You have a body, you buy a bikini and BOOM, you have a BIKINI BODY!  This is a concept I have only just started taking seriously.  The amount of advertising for females to “get your body bikini ready” is ridiculous. Everywhere you look, Magazines, Facebook, Instagram, TV Ads even on Morning TV interviewing models or influences talking about getting “ready” for your bikini.  You may be thinking “you guys can talk, we have seen you talk about this as well” and you are right! We have fallen into this trap also.  I didn't realise this until arriving in Hawaii last week, but Its the first time in years that I hadn't tried to lose weight to feel good in my bikini before going away.…

Releasing Our Inner Goddess

Wednesday, 29 June 2016 08:00
I believe that deep inside of us all is a Goddess! A beautiful, feminine, sexy, confident and strong yet vulnerable woman. The true version of ourselves that for some reason we feel inadequate or scared to become. Why do we spend most if not all of our lives denying ourselves of releasing this beautiful Goddess? Why do we spend most if not all of our lives thinking we are not good enough, thinking we should be perfect, thinking in order to love ourselves fully we need to become someone else? Our brain is made up of two parts, our conscious and our subconscious minds. If you imagine an iceberg, that is what our brain is like, our conscious mind is just the tiny tip that actually does less work than we think, while the large hidden part of the iceberg is our subconscious mind. It is in control of the…
