Top 3 Summer Party Nibbles (that wont break the bank or waist line)

We love summer time socialising and eating with friends, BUT we do not like to wake up the next day feeling bloated and lethargic. 

Here are our favourite low cost snacks that will impress the party, keep everyone feeling fresh, energised and ready to hit the beach.

 

 

Devilled Eggs

Ingredients

6 Free Range Eggs

2 Tablespoons Plan Greek Yoghurt

2 Tsp Yellow Mustard 

Paprika to sprinkle after

Salt and Pepper to taste 

Method 

1- Boil your eggs just to hard boil

2- Run your eggs under cold water straight away to make them easier to peel, then peel

3- Slice your peeled eggs in half (longways) 

4- Scoop out the yolks and put into a bowl. Place the whites on a plate.

5- Mash the yolks with the greek yoghurt, mustard, salt and pepper

6- Scoop 1 tsp on the yolk mixture and put it back in the middle of the egg white

7- Sprinkle with paprika and put in the fridge to chill 

 

 

Mountain Bread Chips and Guac 

Ingredients

1 Packet Mountain Bread Wraps

2 Avocados 

1 Garlic Clove

Fresh lemon ( about 1/2 ) 

1 Dried chilli or sprinkle of chilli flakes/powder

Coriander

Red Onion.. Just a little  

Salt and Pepper to taste 

Method 

Chips

1- Rip or cut wraps into chip like pieces and place on a baking tray

2- Bake on 180 for about 7mins or until slightly golden or the edges have curled a little. 

Guac

1- In a bowl mash the Avocado 

2- Add the rest of the ingredients and mash together. Done! 

 

 

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries 

Ingredients

Strawberries 

1/4 Cup Coconut Oil

2/3 Cup Raw Cacao  

2 Tbsp Raw Honey/Coconut Nectar/Agave, Maple Syrup 

Method

1- Melt Coconut oil

2- Add Raw Cacao and Honey. Mix well

3- Wash Strawberries. Holding the leaves, dip the end in the chocolate mix and place on a dish that can go in the fridge

4- Put in the fridge until chocolate is firm
